Health Management Models: Organizational Dynamics and Institutional Implications

Resumen

This study critically examines the management models adopted in health services, analyzing their organizational dynamics and the institutional implications that emerge in practice. Based on an analytical review of the literature and the systematization of recent studies on governance, innovation, and administrative efficiency, it discusses how hierarchical structures, decision-making flows, managerial rationalities, and political-institutional constraints shape the performance of health organizations. The analysis highlights recurring tensions between care demands and administrative requirements, ethical dilemmas in decision-making, structural limitations that affect the quality of care, and internal contradictions that hinder the consolidation of more integrated and responsive management models. The results indicate that managerial effectiveness depends not only on technical and operational tools, but also on institutional capacities, organizational culture, governance mechanisms, and collaborative practices among multidisciplinary teams. It is concluded that the modernization of health management requires hybrid approaches capable of articulating innovation, sustainability, and quality of care, as well as the incorporation of more participatory decision-making processes aligned with the real needs of users.
