Resumen

Oral rehabilitation using implant-supported prostheses has evolved significantly, with immediate loading standing out as a promising alternative to traditional delayed loading. This study aimed to review the recent literature on the clinical and biomechanical predictability of immediate loading in implant-supported prostheses. Articles from the last 10 years were analyzed in databases such as PubMed, Scopus and SciELO. Immediate loading has been shown to be safe and effective in selected cases, with success rates comparable to conventional loading, provided that strict clinical criteria are met.
