Abstract

Public security is an essential element for social stability and the protection of fundamental rights. Transformations in organized crime, combined with technological advances and globalization, have increased the complexity of challenges faced by police institutions. In this context, Intelligence-Led Policing (ILP) emerges as a strategic approach capable of enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of security actions, particularly in scenarios of reduced personnel and rising demand for qualified operational responses. This article analyzes ILP as a strategic tool for the Military Police of Amazonas (PMAM), considering the foundations of police intelligence, the structure of the Military Police Intelligence System (SIPOM), and the potential benefits of its implementation.
