AULAS DE JUDÔ COMO ATIVIDADE EXTRACURRICULAR NAS ESCOLAS DE EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL: UM POSSÍVEL ESTÍMULO AO DESENVOLVIMENTO PSICOMOTOR EM CRIANÇAS

Abstract

The practice of sports activities for children is essential for the overall development of the individual. Schools, through extracurricular activities such as judo, can offer their students lasting experiences for their development. This study aims to analyze judo classes applied to children in early childhood education as a mechanism to stimulate psychomotor development. The structural organization of the objectives required identifying the contributions of judo to the practitioner, understanding the approaches of early childhood education, and the importance of psychomotor skills for children. This study is characterized as qualitative and exploratory in nature. In this case, the pillars of psychomotor skills and the fundamental values ​​of judo were used through the International Judo Federation (IJF). Finally, a practical activity called "The Roads" was used to analyze its values ​​and its correlation with some topics of psychomotor skills presented in this work. Thus, we verified that judo can be an activity that provides great benefits to its practitioners, stimulating the psychomotor development of children.
