Efeito do uso de laser de baixa potência associado ao óleo ozonizado no manejo da sensibilidade pós-clareamento dental

Um estudo clínico randomizado e duplo-cego

Resumo

Introdução: O clareamento dental é um procedimento amplamente prescrito na odontologia, embora seu efeito adverso seja a sensibilidade dental. Objetivo: Avaliar o efeito do óleo ozonizado associado ao laser de baixa potência no tratamento da sensibilidade dental e no grau de clareamento dental. Metodologia: Um ensaio clínico do tipo split-mouth com 30 voluntários randomizados em 2 grupos experimentais (n=30). Controle: aplicação de nitrato de potássio por 10 minutos; Teste: aplicação de óleo de girassol ozonizado por 2 minutos. Ambas as arcadas foram posteriormente clareadas com peróxido de hidrogênio a 35% por 45 minutos. Após isso, foi aplicado laser de baixa potência com comprimento de onda infravermelho (808nm), 1J/cm² na região cervical do dente e na região correspondente ao ápice radicular em ambos os grupos. Os dados de sensibilidade foram analisados utilizando o teste ANOVA de medidas repetidas de Friedman, seguido pelo teste pós-hoc Durbin-Conover (p < 0,05) e o teste de Wilcoxon (p < 0,05). O teste de Wilcoxon (p < 0,05) e o teste de Mann-Whitney (p < 0,05) foram usados para avaliar o grau de clareamento. Resultados: Não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa na análise entre os grupos para o grau de clareamento e sensibilidade. Conclusão: O uso da combinação de óleo ozonizado e laser de baixa potência apresentou resultados semelhantes ao grupo controle.
